Ahmad Dhani is the dude with the magic touch. Seems like everything he touches turns into something golden, something unique. The world knows Dewa 19, the songs he written, now he's tapping the talents of his own kids.

The Lucky Laki, a 3-piece from Indonesia is made up by Al Ghazali (Al), El Jalaluddin Rumi (El), Ahmad Abdul Qodir Jaelani (Dul). Juggling between school & rocking the stage, these kids kicked out big with their debut single, which had a funny & interesting choice of title, "Superman". If I'm right, it's a song about their dad. Pretty cool eh? It's only a matter of time befor they make their way to Malaysia. Ah, just like the "mmmboop" Hanson family band. Funny.

With more than 5,000 people was at the concert ground & more than 10,000 watched a delayed telecast from the Rockaway website.

I was wondering what the artists themselves have been doing to promote themselves for this Shout Awards. I was disappointed to find only 2 videos, 1 from an icon and another from a new act rising from the streets. It's interesting to add that no matter how much freedom & tools you give them, local artists still need some schooling about the new media. Kudos to those who did!

DJ Goldfish "The Gold Life"

DJ Goldfish is an icon to my point of view. I've known him personally, back when he was still a skater in 1996. We skated together with the Brunei crew. He was one of the few that could do a negative fishbrain. It's a trick name. Anyway, when he started DJing, he practically knew where he was going to go. And if I am not mistaken, he was only 16 when he decided what to do with his life.

Now, a top DJ & also a talented business guy, Goldfish now has his own television show. Yeah, an internet television show. Introducing, The Gold Life. The world is yours, Alvin =)
