Redeoscape has been quiet lately. But I wasn't disappointed when they made an appearance again. This time with Pesawat. Together, they've produced a stunning music video which has won many hearts, including Malaysia Airlines and also finally gave something good back for the rather introvert, and talented music video director.
Let's watch the making of the video.
They have Harun Salim Bachik, an old school Malaysian comedian, as a guest in the video. That guy really lives up to his comedy.
I love how Redeoscape work. Same credit goes to PhuturePhlow as well. They are a bunch of talented filmmakers that really has the potential to be big on their own. The problem now, as it has always been, the avenue to display their works, and also to get paid for it. What they can target the most, as a local Malaysian production house, is to be noticed by the controlling satellite and public television stations in the country. And it's hard to get noticed. You can win awards and get noticed in that way, but if you don't have the politics to play, you still get left behind. That's how dirty it is. And I bet, in most entertainment production industry, that's how it's been. Sad, but true.
But what they can do right now is to continue to get noticed using the world, wide, web. Good examples like Redeoscape, PhuturePhlow, Meteralize; these guys put up their best work online and let the world be their judge. Nothing is stopping these guys. That's what makes them noticeable.
For Redeoscape case, I really wish they would just proceed to produced an online series of these "making of the video" that they can produce themselves. That would be a good project, just to show that you can do serious, entertaining TV quality shows. You're already doing it guys.
